Sponsor The XO Bikes Cycle Team as we ride a combined 980 miles

Organised by Onwards and Upwards

Tray, Jamie and Will live and breathe bikes and are super excited about the challenge. Nidge's training is thorough. Stef & our other Will are quietly confident. Ian hasn't been on a bike for 20 years, so he's training like mad, and rather petrified.

Story

A team of 7 of us are setting off at 0830 sharp on Friday 3rd March, and we'll be cycling a combined 980 miles from Crystal Palace to Aston Villa.

Tray, Jamie & Will live and breathe bikes - they don't really need to train - but they're super excited about this challenge. Nidge is thorough in his approach... Stef & our other Will are quietly confident. Ian hasn't been on a bike for 20 years, so he's training like mad, and slightly petrified.

How your donation will help

Funds raised will go towards our next XO Bikes training course for prison leavers, giving them the skills to become fully qualified bike mechanics. We've also pledged to raise £3,000 for the Palace for Life Foundation, helping to support their work with young south Londoners and to aspire to give them brighter futures.

Over 400 studies show that employment is the single most important factor in reducing reoffending rates - but 75% of businesses will not employ ex-offenders.

That's why we set up XO Bikes, and that's why we're doing this ride.

Note - Ian's missing from this photo... he's out training...
