Story

Each year Good Hope Hospital and Heartlands Hospital deliver an average of 11,000 babies. An average of one in ten of these babies needs the support of the neonatal units.

World Prematurity Day, on 17 November, is a global movement to raise awareness of premature birth and the impact it can have on families.

This year the teams from Heartlands Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Good Hope Special Care Unit are coming together to raise awareness of the work they do and raise vital funds for Newborns in Need to help make sure that babies and their parents stay on the ward is as comfortable as possible.

Make sure you come along to support the teams with their challenges:

Friday 15 November - Static Bike-a-thon at Good Hope Hospital

Monday 18 November - Walk-a-thon at Heartlands Hospital
