Our Story
We’re taking on the Kiltwalk to raise funds for Wonder Fools’ Positive Stories for Negative Times (PSfNT).
Wonder Fools believes theatre is for everyone. PSfNT exists to make sure free, high-quality theatre experiences are available to young people across Scotland and beyond — especially for those least likely to access culture. We don’t just tour work, we create it, commissioning some of the best writers in the UK and taking new plays directly into schools and youth groups.
“Your support helps us bring free, high-quality theatre into schools and youth groups — improving access to culture, building confidence, and supporting self-expression.”
Since 2020, PSfNT has engaged 12,000+ young people. Last season alone we reached 3,045 young people, with 91% reporting pride and achievement, 90% feeling confident (or highly confident) to take part in drama afterwards, and 91% of group leaders saying the programme increased young people’s access to cultural opportunities.
Why are we fundraising?
This year, we need to raise funds to make the programme happen again. Your donation helps us bring new writing to young people where they are — opening doors to culture, creative confidence, and a stronger sense of voice.
What your donation supports:
1) Free plays delivered in schools and youth groups
2) Commissioning brilliant writers to create new work
3) The practical essentials that make participation possible, including access support, travel, food, workshops and resources
