The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball squad officially starts the 2019-20 season Tuesday, Nov. 5. The Titans are entering their fifth season under head coach Bernard Scott and 43rd season as a program overall and we need your help!

Your gift will help provide the best collegiate student-athlete experience for our players both on and off the court. Our goal for this years Clash of the Titans is $3,000 and with your support we can provide a nice Thanksgiving meal at the 2019 South Point Shootout, provide bonding activities while the team is out on the road.

The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team will be one of the 10 teams to play in the 2019 South Point Shootout, in Las Vegas, Nev., over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 29-30.

The Titans are slated to play in the first game both days of the tournament, playing at 11 a.m. locally in Las Vegas (2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time). Detroit Mercy is set to play Sacred Heart in the first game of the tournament on Friday, Nov. 29, before taking on Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Nov. 30. All games are being played at the four-star South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

"The South Point Shootout will be a great opportunity for us to continue to prepare ourselves for the Horizon League," head coach Bernard Scott said. "We will face two quality programs that we have not played during my time here. Every year we travel during the Thanksgiving holiday to play in a tournament or an area we have not been before. I'm happy we're able to give our players these types of experiences!"

With your support, we can continue to provide an excellent experience for our players. Make your gift today to support the women's basketball team!
