Story
Our 7 Woking Scouts, who have been selected to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree (held every 4 years), have started their enormous fund raising journey by making and selling pancakes at a local fair (where the photo was taken). Each scout is also doing individual fundraising as well. Your support to help the team achieve their dream of going to South Korea for this life changing event is hugely appreciated.
The World Scout Jamboree is the largest scouting event organized by the Scout Movement, gathering up to 50,000 people from all over the world. Our 7 Woking Scouts are part of the 3,240 young people, aged between 14 and 17 years old , representing the United Kingdom.
The World Scout Jamboree offers young people the chance to learn new skills that they can use in other aspects of their life as well as campaign for change on key world issues that matter to them. It includes a wide variety of activities and also places great importance on the everyday life and interaction on the campsite. It is above all an educational event to promote peace and understanding. More information on the Jamboree can be found here :
