Story
Why Our Work Matters
Washington's National Park Fund (WNPF) is on a mission to raise funds to preserve and enhance the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and recreational opportunities of Washington’s national parks so they remain vibrant, thriving ecosystems and cherished destinations for future generations.
Every year, Congress sets the National Park Service’s budget, but it often falls short of covering the growing needs of Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. That’s where Washington’s National Park Fund comes in. We fund projects that improve visitor experiences, support research, maintain trails, and increase accessibility. Your GivingTuesday gift helps bridge these funding gaps.
✅ By supporting WNPF on GivingTuesday, your gift can DOUBLE thanks to a generous match of up to $15,000 and an opportunity to unlock even more matches!
Kick off the giving season by supporting the national parks you love the most. Together, we can ensure the parks remain accessible and thriving for all.
What this day means #ForTheParks
This year, "Tuesday" takes on a whole different meaning for Washington's National Park Fund:
👷♀️ Giving CrewsDay: Volunteer crews are essential to park operations. By supporting volunteers, you are helping them receive the gear, training, uniforms, and more!
🎒 Giving YouthDay: From junior ranger programs and local school field trips, these youth programs are essential in fostering future stewards of the parks!
🐾 Giving PooDay: You read that right, but more specifically animal poo! Through citizen science and partnerships with conservation organizations, funds can support the analyses, monitoring, and management of park wildlife.
🏞 Giving ViewsDay: Whether you're looking through a telescope at a night sky program or enjoying the view from a park bench, funds can support visitor experience projects for your next visit.
So, what does GivingTuesday mean for you? Join us in giving back to these awe-inspiring parks on December 3rd. #ForTheParks!
