*****IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: The Cultural Health Immersion Trip to Zambia scheduled for January 2022 has been canceled. If you made a contribution toward this trip, you will be contacted in the near future regarding a refund.*****
Over the years, WLC nursing students have described the Zambia trip as life-changing amazing, humbling, and as an incredible blessing. The opportunity to witness healthcare in a resource-poor country opens students eyes to how much is available at home in the United States. At the same time, they are in awe of the wonderful healthcare that can be provided to patients with vastly fewer resources. Students appreciate the opportunity to meet and interact with the Zambian people, who are kind and happy. The experience helps students appreciate what is truly important in their role as a nurse: the ability to see each individual as a child of God and a human being who needs someone to care.
As you can imagine, a trip of this magnitude comes at a considerable cost. WLC nursing students are responsible for securing the funds necessary to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our future Christian nurses need your help to be able to afford the cost of traveling to Zambia to share the love of Jesus while gaining valuable cross-cultural healthcare experience. Will you consider a financial contribution to help a WLC nursing student make it to Zambia? By keeping travel costs manageable for trip participants, students can remain focused on coursework, labs, clinicals, and on spiritual and individual growth not on keeping up with payments.
To support an individual student, please select their name from the fundraisers list on the right side of the page. Or, you may make a donation to the general trip fund from this page.
Please note that contributions toward individual students' fundraising goals are not considered charitable for tax purposes under IRS regulations. Contributions made to the general trip fund, however, may be considered charitable for tax purposes.
