Our incredible #WishHeroes will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon to help grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting critical illnesses!

In 2020, our amazing team of runners will be donning their capes and trainers to take on the 13.1 miles of the London Landmarks Half Marathon! This half marathon will showcase London's most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Pauls Cathedral, Nelsons Column and the London Eye. The exciting route will shine a light on London's quirky and hidden history, and all our #WishHeroes are running to grant magical wishes.

Our #WishHeroes will be supporting Make-A-Wish UK and their every step will help grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. A wish gives a critically ill child and their family time away from hospitals and intense treatments, providing precious memories to treasure forever, whatever the future may hold.
15-year-old Willow is living with a rare genetic condition called Aicardi Syndrome. It causes severe, uncontrolled epilepsy, alongside learning and mobility issues. As she doesn't talk, music helps her to come alive as she sings, dances and gets lost in the melodies. Her family took her to a local festival and although she loved aspects of it, the crowds and difficult access made it hard work and too full on for her. So Willow's Mum, Viv, turned to Make-A-Wish to create an accessible festival experience for Willow and her friends.
Thanks to Wishgranter Becky and an incredible community, "WillowFest" took place in October 2018.

With the support of volunteers, donors, fundraisers and corporate partners, Make-A-Wish has turned more than 10,000 wishes into magical realities. And, with hundreds of seriously ill children turning to Make-A-Wish each year, every penny raised really does count.
