Story
The WISHH Charity (Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals) is passionate about enhancing our facilities, equipment and services to benefit patients and their families, at both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.
A 50-strong team of runners are on a mission to raise funds to support our Paediatrics Ward and to provide Dementia Friendly facilities for patients. Some team members are raising funds for the wards they work on within our Hospital Trust.
Our team ranges from experienced runners, right through to those taking part in their first ever event of this kind. The team work across many different hospital departments; from theatres and radiography to physiotherapists, blood sciences and beyond. All have the same goal: to help enable our ability to offer outstanding care to local people, 365 days per year.
Historically hospitals have always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS; Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is no different. The WISHH Charity aims to raise money to help both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital do more to ensure every patient receives the best and most modern care possible.
It would be fantastic if you are able to support #TeamWISHH
