As two unpredictable and turbulent years draw to a close, vulnerable families and individuals have barely had time to recover from the impact of the pandemic, before the onset of Winter and the cost-of-living crisis brings new challenges.
With rising food and fuel costs, growing uncertainty and an unstable economy we hope many families, schools, churches, and community groups will take part in the challenge.
Funds raised will be used to help provide wrap-around support for people in crisis, for those facing homelessness, or for individuals and families who are facing food or fuel poverty.
At The Brick we believe fair pay, affordable bills, enough food to eat and a decent place to live are not luxuries, but they are our rights.
Last years Wrap Up Wigan campaign saw 100s of coats and other warm clothing donated to The Brick, allowing volunteers to distribute them to vulnerable people across the borough.
This year, with the increasing food and energy prices we are also providing slow cookers and electric blankets to the most vulnerable members of our community.
So, what are you waiting for! Download our Sponsorship form and join the Winter Walk for Warmth. Together we can tackle poverty and take strides to provide vulnerable families with the support they need in these challenging Winter months.
