DISPLACED SYRIAN FAMILIES URGENTLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO SURVIVE WINTER >> DONATE NOW.
We initially aimed for £ 5000 and thanks to 139 generous and proactive supporters, we reached £ 7500 so we raised the target to be £ 10,000 as we are more hopeful and confidemt that together we can reach more people.
The first £ 5000 is allocated to Al Bolat Camp in Kelly, Maaret tamsrin subdistict where 100 families resides and includes 210 children.
We will try to distribute 200kg of coal for heating and two or three blankets to each each family.
Please continue to support this campaign, if you already donated then please keep spreading the word. More donations means more warmth to families.
Thousands of families in Syria were forcibly displaced from their homes due to the ongoing war and fled to the norther part of the country. However, they never really got to establish new lives there as they continue to live in camps and tents that provide little protection and expose them to high risks. They struggle to meet ends and can hardly provide for their families.
This winter, situation in camps got really worse as several snow storm hit the country. Temperature is never higher than 7 and gets as low as -4. Tents are covered and filled with snow which melt to freezing water damaging all the families belonging. Families have no means to get warm and keep dry. Elderly and children can hardly survive such weather and mostly will get chronicle health conditions that they might never overcome, parents are left in despair.
As we all have little or much privilege to live in a better situation and safer country, we cam all contribute and support these families feel a bit warmer. Please donate as little as you can ( and as generous as you are) to ensure these desperate families that we care. Prices of winterization items range from 0.80 for a liter of diesel to 130 for a ton of coal, a blanket costs £ 5 and a coal heater is £ 25. Each of these items is urgently needed and will be of high value to the families.
