2020 has been tough - especially for our predominantly Black and Brown WINGS kids and families. Even in our 25-year history, we have never seen such injustice, inequity, and struggle. Its possible our eyes were not as wide-open as they are now.

There are so few resources available for our families.

With COVID-19, school closures, the steady killing of Black people, riots, and all of the heavy emotional labor - WINGS kids need our WINGS program. And WINGS needs YOU.

It's time to STEP UP for our kids.

Like you, WINGS believes -and knows -that social emotional skills give kids the tools they need to succeed in school, stay in school, and thrive in life. When WINGS kids learn these lessons, try new firsts (like chess, lacrosse, or yoga), and experience new places (like field trips to colleges, beaches, or museums) with the college-aged mentors who look like they do, they begin to see new possibilities for themselves. And this is how WINGS kids soar.

Stepping up for WINGS is not just to support our afterschool program this coming academic year; its about equipping our Black and Brown students with the skills, support, and structure to soar above the insecurities and inequity that exist in our communities.
