The Wig Party: An annual fundraiser to help support students whose lives have been affected by cancer.

In the winter of 2015, we came up with the *highly inventive* idea to host a “wig” themed party at Houston Hall. The original intention was simple - inject a cold January in NYC with a bit of life.

As we hosted the party again in subsequent years, turnout grew significantly. With that, the question of how we could bring more meaning to the event constantly entered our minds. The more we thought, the more we realized the answer the answer was right in front of us.

Across the world today, Cancer effects more than 18M people. The reality is that most of us, if not all of us, know someone in our life who has been affected by the disease. And for those who bravely battle, an unfortunate side effect of the treatment can often be hair loss.

So today, we wear wigs to support those who have fought and continue to fight. To support those who choose to wear a wig during their journey or choose to not. Last year, we were able to donate $5,000 in college tuition assistance to a student who lost his sister to cancer. He is pursuing a career in pediatric oncology in her memory and your generous donations made his dream a possibility. Please join us again this year to help support more.
