Story

Wigan Bike Ride 2023

We are delighted to be returning to Mesnes Park on June 11th for this year's Magnificent 7th Develop UK Wigan Bike Ride, raising money for our organising charity Joining Jack.

Joining Jack was launched in 2012 by Andy & Alex Johnson after their son Jack aged four at the time was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an incurable muscle wasting disease.

Jack is now 15 and since the launch of the Wigan Bike Ride in 2017 this flagship event has raised over £150,000 for Joining Jack to help fund vital research into treatments for Duchenne. This has included four fantastic live events and 2020's first ever Virtual Ride which recruited cyclists worldwide to join forces and help to raise funds by cycling their own route due to the Pandemic.

Every Penny of profit from our event goes to Joining Jack to help find treatments with the hope of one day a cure for ALL boys living with Duchenne.

Thank you to the amazing and loyal JJ army who have brought us this far making great strides towards the end goal - Together we can END DUCHENNE.
