2021 marks 50 years of Teen Challenge QLD serving Queensland by providing drug and alcohol support to those overcoming addiction. To celebrate 50 years of restoring hope and rebuilding lives, we invite YOU to complete the What's Your 50? Challenge!

Teen Challenge QLD operates the New Life Centre (NLC) drug & alcohol rehabilitation facility for men and women in Toowoomba. NLC celebrates 20 years of operation this year. The capacity of the men's centre is 15 and the women's centre has 7 (beds available). Now, these beds are filled, and a waiting list exists.

Drug & alcohol addiction can have devastating effects on a persons life and relationships. But a new life awaits for every person who finds freedom from addiction through rehabilitation and aftercare support. By rebuilding their physical, emotional, and spiritual lives - these young people can overcome addiction.

That's why this year we will be raising $50k. $50k will enable 2 people to complete TCQs 12 month rehabilitation program. Changing one person's world can make all the difference, and if we reach the goal of $50k in 2021 this will mean not 1, but 2 young lives could be changed now and into the future.

The Challenge

Studies have found that longer rehabilitation programs contribute to an individuals long term freedom from addiction. $50k will enable 2 young people to complete TCQs 12 month program. But we cant do this without you.

Choose an activity that you can do 50 of, set a fundraising goal, and start your fundraiser. This could be something as simple as baking and selling 50 cupcakes or as demanding as the challenge our new ambassador James Holbeck (ex Wallaby) has set; a 50,000m vertical climb bike ride (equal to reaching the earth's stratosphere)!
