The MACC Fund, Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc., is a charitable organization formed in 1976 to support research into the effective treatment and cure of childhood cancer and blood disorders. Cancer is the leading disease-related cause of death in children after the newborn period.

Story

Whitefish Bay High School’s Sources of Strength and Blue Crew teams are proud to launch Buzz Cuts for Cancer, a bold fundraiser benefiting the MACC Fund—an organization dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer and related blood disorders. Since its inception, the MACC Fund has contributed over $87 million to life-saving research in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and the Marshfield Clinic. Thanks to this vital support, overall childhood cancer cure rates have risen from 20% to 85%—but there’s still work to be done.

Join us in making a powerful statement: whether you're buzzing your hair in solidarity or donating to the cause, every action brings us one step closer to a cure. Together, we can create hope, build strength, and support the fight against childhood cancer. To learn more about the MACC Fund, please visit www.maccfund.org.
