Founded by the late Jim Cogan, former deputy head of Westminster School, Alive and Kicking is a charity working in sub-Saharan Africa to create ethical employment for African communities, improve the health and quality of life of disadvantaged young people, and help children exercise their right to play.
To achieve these aims, A+K makes ethical sports balls in its not-for-profit stitching centres in sub-Saharan Africa. These operations lift families out of poverty by generating sustainable and fairly paid jobs. All profits made from selling the balls in the local markets go towards running health programmes to educate young people about preventable diseases specifically HIV and malaria and donating balls to children.
Please donate to Alive and Kicking and motivate the students at Westminster School to help them achieve their goal!
