Story
The West Country 100 (WC 100) is a select group of 100 business leaders in the South West of England, who come together and have a desire to enhance support for Royal Marines, past, present and future - who find themselves in need through injury, illness and hardship.
Through the channel provided by The Royal Marines Charity, members of the WC 100 direct their good works, time, fundraising and awareness activity plus membership support to directly help members of the Royal Marines family who need our help today.
This reputation as an elite body comes at a cost though; it means that not only have Marines been deployed to the most challenging conflicts and environments in the World, but that sadly their share the highest incidence of serious injury, illness and in more recent years post traumatic stress. Hence the need for support of those in need is great right now and will remain so in the immediate years ahead.
From serving Royal Marines to veterans, from cadets to new recruits and to all their family members we have an opportunity to build a first of its kind facility The Royal Marines Support Hub next to the home of the Corps Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, Lympstone, Devon. The homework has been done, the need and opportunity is clear. We are looking to bring The Royal Marines Support Hub to life in 2019.
