Story
It is recognised, that despite the fact that there have been over 80 Welsh police officer deaths recorded in the line of duty, from the present and former police forces in Wales, Wales remains the only home nation not to have its own dedicated National Police Memorial.
As a consequence, since 2014 the Trust has actively pursued a policy of making the dream of such a memorial commemorating fallen police officers in Wales a reality.
The site of the memorial has now been agreed as Alexandra Gardens in Cardiff. It is intended for the memorial to be of a design which allows it to mean something to any family member, relative, friend or colleague of those who have died whilst serving the communities of Wales, regardless of how they died or the role that they undertook.
