Story
WayfinderWoman Trust, a female run, volunteer led charity based in Eastbourne depends on the funds raised from the annual Pier 2 Peer charity walk, run, or cycle event on 1 October 2022 from the Eastbourne to the Hastings pier along the East Sussex coastline to keep its volunteer run drop-in advice centre open.
WayfinderWoman helps women find better lives by building their self-confidence and skill sets so they can challenge any barriers that prevent them from stepping into who they are destined to be and move into volunteering, finding a job, getting a promotion or becoming an entrepreneur.
Since 2011, WayfinderWoman Trust has supported over 1,000 women providing free grant funded workshops, training, coaching, online support, and a drop-in information and advice hub in Eastbourne. The Trust also works with organisations to help them be the best they can be in nurturing womens careers. WayfinderWoman Trust was honoured with The Queens Award for Voluntary Service, the equivalent of an MBE and the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the United Kingdom.
