Story
Why Ghana?
In Ghana, more than five million people (about 18 percent) rely on surface water to meet their daily water needs, leaving them vulnerable to water-related illness and disease. Further, 81 percent of Ghanaians lack access to improved sanitation or are entirely without toilet facilities. Often, they must walk 3 miles to a temporary water source infested with Animal Urine and Faeces, sometimes twice in a day. Not only does this have a knock on effect to their health, but also deprives children from gaining an education as their time is taken up taking on these treacherous walks.
What do HRF Do?
HRF has been tirelessly building water wells in Ghana in some of it's most remote regions. Areas such as Tamale in North Ghana. Picture: Mud Huts, Desert, and No Roads. They live extremely humble lives; a quality which is rudimentary at best. For years, HRF have been building life long water wells of the best quality to ensure sustainable development for decades to come.
