Story
There are currently 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, and this is set to grow to almost 4 million by 2030.
Over the next three years, were aiming to raise £500,000. This amount could fund 25,000 hours of care from health professionals, supporting over 1,500 people affected by cancer. Already Warner Leisure Hotels are on the way to achieving this total, raising over £100,000 during the first five months of the partnership.
Team members have launched themselves into fundraising by trekking mountains, running marathons, cycling and even climbing over Londons iconic O2 Arena.
In addition to team members taking part in brilliant activities, Warner have been engaging their guests with our messaging and exciting fundraising events. They have a full and exciting calendar of fundraising activity planned, including a 'Go Mad Go Green' event, charity walks, entertainment evenings, and coffee mornings.
Simon Thompson, Managing Director Warner Leisure Hotels said: 'We are thrilled to be working with Macmillan to support the important work the charity does in helping those affected by cancer. All of our 13 Warner sites are excited to begin fundraising for this incredibly worthwhile cause. Many of our team and our guests have seen the impact cancer can have. Through our partnership with Macmillan we can all help people with cancer live their lives, no matter what.'
We are delighted to see Warner fully bringing Macmillan into their organisation, and look forward to seeing the impact of what we can achieve together.
