Story

Give something up to give back

This January, take on the challenge to give up something you love for the whole month. Whether it’s sweet treats, shopping sprees, social media scrolling, your daily takeaway coffee or that evening glass of Sauvignon Blanc, giving it up can do so much more than you imagine.

Why give something up?

For you: A break from your usual habits can boost your health, wellbeing and even your bank balance.

For others: By pledging to go “cold turkey” and give something up for the whole of January, you can help raise vital funds to support people in Brighton and Hove on their journey to recovery.

How it works:

Go solo or team up with friends, family or colleagues.

Ask your supporters to sponsor your journey—or if you’re giving up something you buy regularly, like your morning flat white or Friday night drinks, simply donate the money you’d usually spend.

Every penny you raise goes directly to New Note Projects, a multi-award-winning charity using the transformative power of music, storytelling and dance to help people affected by addiction, homelessness and mental health challenges. With every contribution, you’re helping create pathways to hope, healing and community.
