Story

Ward 9 is an acute care of the elderly ward specialising in dementia at Macclesfield Hospital.

We aim to enhance patient wellbeing, promote independence, reduce distress and anxiety to help people live well with dementia.

We have a dedicated Activities Coordinator who provides meaningful activities for patients living with dementia as part of their treatment and recovery.

We are looking to raise funds to provide more activities and equipment that our patients can use and enjoy, alongside creating a dementia friendly garden which will provide a therapeutic space and safe social environment.
