We recently asked all of our employees in Walters to vote for our charity partner for 2019/2020 and you chose Velindre.

The charity partnership for 2019/2020 was officially launched by Velindre President Jonathan Davies and Walters Chairman Dave Walters to coincide with delivery of four new Walters vehicles.

The vehicles used to service the Groups UK wide operations are Velindre branded, and for every mile the trucks travel, Walters will donate 10p.
Wales Rugby Union legend and President of Velindre, Jonathan Davies, agreed to help launch the partnership with our Chairman, Dave Walters. Jonathan said: Im really looking forward to a hugely successful year its fantastic to have Walters on board.

Huw Richards, our Group MD said Our employees chose Velindre and they will be at the core of the fundraising activities. We feel that the mileage related contribution is a fantastic way to start raising these vital sums. As the trucks travel throughout the UK, as well as raising substantial funds for Velindre, they will also help raise awareness of Wales premier Cancer Centre throughout the UK.

Andrew Morris from Velindre said: Money raised from fundraisers is used to ensure the best possible support is offered to every patient, their families and carers dealing with cancer. It allows us to fund specialist nurses who are fundamental to a patients experience, implement projects to improve the physical environment for a patient, such as our gardens, the Family & Childrens Room and so much more.
