Story
At the moment thousands of people are walking from Central America towards the United States in 'human caravans'. They are essentially economic refugees, escaping poverty, food insecurity caused by climate change, health systems collapsing from Covid19 and violence in their home countries.
Let's walk a day in their shoes. We will walk for 12 hours on the 27th of March to raise much needed funds for vulnerable children and families in Latin America through NPH New Zealand. (Note date changed due to Level change).
Funds raised will go towards supporting the vulnerable children, youth and families of NPH Guatemala. The communities where our students are living are battling with Covid19 and the Ministry of Health has not allowed community students to come back to school yet. This leaves these children in a difficult position.
That's why NPH is doing their best to support these kids through educational resources, tutoring, counselling and food packages. We are also supporting our vulnerable youth within our home to continue to provide them with good quality care, healthy food, love and education. Your support is much appreciated. Thank you!
