Story

In June walk just 10,000 steps a day where EVERY STEP you take will represent one of the 300,000 homeless people in the UK right now.*

(10k steps is roughly 5 miles).

Did you know that a homeless person in a rural area has no choice but to walk 30,000 steps (13 miles) every day just to access services to meet their basic needs?

This equates to just over 5 homeless people walking the circumference of the world in a year.

Pledge to try to reach our target of 10k steps every day in June, or set your own target. Walk as little or as much as you like in June 2024.

Money raised will go into the Ferry Project’s ‘Hardship Fund’ that can be directly accessed by the homeless people they support and is used to cover any costs they don’t have finances to cover.

Make your steps count.

Start raising funds and awareness today.

The Ferry Project is here to help single adult homeless people in Fenland - not simply to provide accommodation, but to give them the skills they need to live independently. Since our beginning in 1988, we have supported over 3000 homeless people.
