Infection prevention and control is crucial to health and care, and the Infection Prevention Society (IPS) has long been leading the charge to ensure safer care for patients across health and care settings. But we can’t do it alone. That’s where you come in!
Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) are a significant problem, affecting millions of patients every year. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 10 patients will experience a healthcare-associated infection globally. These infections can be prevented, and by improving infection control practices, we can save lives and reduce unnecessary suffering.
IPS plays a critical role in ensuring healthcare professionals have the tools and knowledge needed to prevent infections and protect patients.
