Walk for Water is a challenge to walk and raise money for those who do not have access to water. School communities across England and Wales are using their lockdown exercise walks to unite with people like Abdul, Mohammed, and their cousin Abdella, who walks ten hours a day to fetch water.
Abdella has walked for water daily for 12 years. He lives in Afar, Ethiopia - one of the hottest places on earth. Like hundreds of people in the area, he spends most of every day getting water for his family. With a water point nearer home, his family would no longer have to worry about getting enough to stay alive. And Abdella could start on the dreams he has for the rest of his life.
So get your whole school community involved so that CAFOD local experts can give communities like Abdella's the support they need to transform their lives. You could get sponsored by the number of steps, by the distance you walk or by the number of walks.
