Story

Welcome to Family and Community Resources, Inc.'s 2023 Walk for Survivor Safety!

Each year in October, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, FCR board members, staff, family, friends and other community members gather to raise awareness and support for survivors of domestic violence.

Over the past three years, the Walk has raised thousands of dollars for emergency services for survivors. Domestic and community violence continues to afflict our society. We need your support more than ever to end the cycles of violence and create a world that is safe, just, and equitable. We are honored to have Chris DiSangro, the owner of DiSangro Transportation Company, serve as our Honorary Chair for the event.

This year we are incorporating a Community Cultural Fair immediately following the walk. We will be hosting artists and vendors who represent the rich cultural aspects of our community. We will also have games for children, refreshments for walkers, and opportunities to learn about products from local businesses. Please support the 5K Walk for Survivor Safety and Community Cultural Fair, Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Please join us in our fundraising efforts this year so we can break the cycle of violence and continue to bring hope, healing, and support to survivors.

Thank you.
