Story
Reignite connections and friendships during Walk and TalkTober.
We are asking the Cheshire community to walk the equivalent distance of Cheshire's Sandstone Trail (34 miles) throughout October whilst reconnecting with family and friends. You can walk around your own neighbourhood breaking the distance up into short daily walks, or you could take the opportunity to explore some amazing walks over the course of the month. However you choose to do it, we want you to do it talking!
We live in a digital age, that offers numerous modes of communication. However there is no substitute for talking, adding layers of meaning through tone of voice. Talking invites response, discussion, supporting each other in ways that text-based communication still can't. Talking is a skill that as a society we are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with, as were not doing it as much!
Walk and TalkTober aims to raise money for a Health and Well-Being Fund for the residents at Save the Family. The families they support are homeless with multiple and complex needs often related to significant trauma.
We really appreciate your donation and if your willing, it would be great to fundraise for us on your journey. Those who raise over £50 will receive a medal and will be put into a small prize draw.
We have also been donated a pair of Women's Trousers to be won by the Woman who raises the most funds by 31st October. This prize was generously donated by Acai Outdoorwear.

All registered participants will receive a certificate and will be able to collect their awards from 15th November 2021.
