Story

10 service users and 5 members of staff from our Early Intervention in Psychosis and At-Risk Mental Health State services are taking on the challenging adventure of sailing a tall ship from Whitehaven to Glasgow. This form of adventure therapy can have a really positive life changing impact, particularly for service users but also for staff.

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust's SHINE fund has funded the project, and we are raising money as a way of thanking the charity and to help it continue supporting great projects that make a big impact on patients in the future.

Please support the voyage by making a donation.

About the charity

SHINE make a huge difference to the experience of service users cared for in our hospital sites and community services across the North East and Cumbria. Donations can provide the support for the extra things that would not be possible from funding we receive from central government alone.
