Story
At Vista we support people with sight loss across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. During this unprecedented time, we are all being asked to make changes to our lives which impact on our daily living. The people we support not only have to adapt to these changes but manage sight loss too. Imagine just for a moment, trying to do that?
It has been suggested that whilst a lot of us are having to stay at home that we look after our physical and mental health. Being physically active is an essential ingredient for the health and wellbeing of everybody so here at Vista we are encouraging you to turn a negative in to a positive.
Some of our wonderful supporters have decided to undertake the Healthy at Home challenge. This challenge is to complete 60 minutes of physical activity per day for 4 weeks. Whilst doing this challenge each supporter has a JustGiving page in the hope of raising £100, or what they can. They are also updating our social media with their stories and photos. All that we ask is that people stay within the current Government guidelines and stay safe.
At Vista we are adapting to the World today and in the way we support people with sight loss. Getting involved with this challenge or kindly donating a small amount to your friends page will make a significant difference to someone we support. As a charity we rely on the kind donations we receive from the public to provide the help we offer on a daily basis.
