Story
At Virtua Health, we work hard to support each baby's nutritional needs. Preparing and administering breastmilk for babies in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is complex and time consuming, and our NICU nurses prepare each feeding to exact specifications.
That's why today, I want to share news of a very special project that will enhance our ability to support every baby in our NICU: a dedicated Infant Nutrition Room. Constructing the room and purchasing the necessary technologies is a $1M endeavor. We are inviting our NICU family to make a difference for the little miracle babies we will care for in the years to come! - Terri Angradi, Nursing Director, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Virtua Voorhees Hospital
The Infant Nutrition Room will feature the latest technologies, including freezers with temperature tracking alarms, an infrared spectrometer to analyze human milk macronutrients, and a Keriton Kare scanning and barcoding system to streamline workflow, ensure quality control, and provide safe milk administration.
