Story

EDAN Lincs (charity number 1092913) provides support, advice and safety to men, women and children who experience domestic abuse.

Our head office is in Lincoln, and we operate across the county of Lincolnshire.

We are raising money to purchase video door bells for families/individuals supported by our IDVA and Outreach team (Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Services delivered by EDAN Lincs).

IDVAs provide both emotional & practical support to victims that are living in fear at the hands of an abuser. IDVAs often work at point of crisis when victims and or children feel most at risk. We know that separation or when the victim leaves that this can be a time of increased risk.

Domestic abuse and fear can have devastating impact on wellbeing and safety. Victims describe being alerted to the slightest sounds, struggling to sleep and isolated.

When we ask what would make things feel better , our victims always say they " just want to feel safe again". Providing wireless ring camera doorbells is an additional layer of support to increase security at home as part of safety planning and can assist on collating evidence.

The IDVA team work so hard to keep victims safe , address impact and provide robust safety plans.

We believe victims have the right to be safe on their own homes.

Thank you for your support
