Story

Jayne and I have both decided to take on the challenge this year of running the GNR to raise money and the profile of Hospice at Home.

We both started with Hospice at Home in March 2020 when the service launched at the start of the pandemic, which was very challenging.

This is an end of life service that supports patients who wish to die at home, not only supporting them but also their families during this very traumatic time. As you can imagine this is an extremely challenging role however, very rewarding and we both feel utterly privileged to be welcomed into their home at such a difficult time.

Over the years Hospice at Home has evolved to where it is now and we are continuously helping the service to expand and grow, we work very closely alongside all community teams as well as the Specialist Palliative Care team and have recently relocated to Elmwood at St Bede’s so that we can all be together.

We all feel very passionate in supporting patients and helping them to fulfil their final wishes of dying at home surrounded by their family, hence the reason why we want to raise money as well as promoting our fabulous service.

Please show your support by making a donation, no amount is too small as every penny counts. Please don’t forget to add Gift Aid to add an additional 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you.

Thank you for your support, Victoria and Jayne.
