Story
Viables Community Centre is a vital part of the community. It works for its users, it includes them and enables them and, most importantly, values them.
As a small charity, we are here to support people in feeling included, less-isolated and well. During the pandemic, this is difficult to achieve but we are striving hard to make sure people know we are still here for them. We are operating as a community hub but are having to fund this from reserves and grants that we are fighting hard to obtain. These will not last forever, and when they end - so will we if we don't manage to act fast and pull together with all of you lovely people. We have worked so hard to build our community, our centre and our services and don't intend to go down without a fight!
We usually have a footfall of around 50,000 people per year, so to see our centre empty is of course rather sad and devastating. But we are still here! Still working and still helping but we NEED your help to do that. Any amount that you are able to donate will help us secure our future and enable us to continue to help those in need.
You could take part in the 2.6 challenge if looking to do some fun fundraising?!
Stay home when you can, stay safe and please keep giving when you are able to. Thank you for reading.
