If you or a loved one has received exceptional care in our hospitals, by creating a fundraiser, you can recognize a special individual or an entire team by asking your friends and family to donate in their name and in turn help fund priority medical equipment. In short, the Caring Spirit program allows you to share your thanks when no words seem to be able to do a justice. And what better way than creating a fundraising page and asking your network to join you in saying thank you.
Individuals and teams recognized as Caring Spirits are always deeply touched. They receive recognition from their supervisors and peers, a special Caring Spirit pin, and a letter of congratulations. A Caring Spirit certificate is given to the individual or unit manager and displayed if possible to remind staff throughout each long day that their work matters and is appreciated.
Being in a hospital can be a stressful experience, but when a caregivers words or actions ease that anxiety, when they provide the best care possible, it can make all the difference. The proceeds from your fundraiser will be used in accordance with your wishes, and attributed towards priority medical equipment that improves care for patients. Additionally, it also acknowledges the care you have received and allows you to connect with your caregiver(s) in a meaningful way.
Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest is not something I knew anything about prior to it happening to me. What I have learned, is that very few individuals who experience it live to tell their story.
