Story

🇬🇧The Veterans’ Foundation has been selected as the charity partner for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation's (DIO) DIOGivingBack programme🇬🇧

Led by DIO’s Chief Executive, Mike Green, a team of representatives from DIO and its suppliers will pedal up to 100km (c62 miles) per day across the terrain that was home to the D-Day landings.

Earlier this year, DIO and suppliers joined in the international commemoration of D-Day’s 80th anniversary. To continue the ongoing recognition of all our brave Service Personnel, riders will cycle between historic D-Day sites, reflect on the sacrifices of our fallen heroes, and raise vital funds for today’s veterans and their families.

The team committed to making a difference through #DIOGivingBack contains representatives from:

DIO

Amey

Arcadis

Aspire Defence

Balfour Beatty

Kier

Reds10

VIVO Defence Services

Wates

The four-day event will take place in September and training for our cyclists is well underway. We’re asking everyone to support our efforts, share our page and give, if you can. Every donation will help the Veterans’ Foundation to continue providing grants to charities that support veterans and their families – making a real difference to the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for us.
