Story
While planning and looking forward to another new year of adventures at The Yard, we were shocked to hear of a second act of serious vandalism, at our Dundee site this time.
On Thursday 19th January, a fire was started in the gingerbread house, damaging our much-loved sensory space, vital inclusive play equipment stored inside and electrics. This includes specialist sensory play equipment that our families rely on and will be costly to replace.
We are devastated and currently doing our best to have affected areas repaired as soon as possible, which will be a costly process. Luckily, no one was hurt and the damage was contained to this area.
We only plan to close for one weekend, but our children, families and school groups may not be able to access some areas for a while, which will reduce the quality of play experience we pride ourselves on at The Yard.
Despite this heart-breaking news, we are confident that we will come out to the other side stronger, as we always have. Please support us today by donating if you can. Every donation will help us rise stronger and continue to be there for The Yard families. Thank you.
