Clients are at the center of our work and guide us as we work to improve and expand our programs.
“This week I was doing an intake with a family new to Valley Outreach. One family member spoke English better than the others, so he was translating during the meeting. When I pulled out the Welcome Messages and Welcome Flyer (attached) and showed that this information is available in English, Spanish, and Karen, the woman in the family’s face lit up. She then read through the information in Karen with a smile. I then helped them with vouchers for StyleXchange and brought them over to the store to ensure they found it. The family member who had been translating opened the door and then happily said, “Whoa.””
