Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family. We are working to pave the way for a bright future to all of our community no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.
The Valley of the Sun YMCAs mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will provide quality education and enrichment activities in a safe space for more than 3,000 early learners and school age children.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will engage 300 youth and teens in civic leadership programming.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will provide free swim lessons to 2,000 children.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will engage 600 youth, ages 16-24, with housing, educational support, job training, and life skills training.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will help 250 youth and adults manage daily life with chronic disease such as diabetes.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will provide scholarship for more than 1,000 families to access membership and youth development programs for those who cannot afford the fee.
In 2024, Valley of the Sun YMCA will provide more than 2,000 seniors with social activities and support services such as case management and transportation to medical appointments.
