We are the University of York Christian Union (UYCU), a group of students based at the University of York who are united by our love for God and our desire to reflect His glory in our lives. Our mission is to give every student the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus. One of the ways that we try to achieve this is through our yearly Events Week.

Events week is a week of evangelistic events, held daily on campus. These free and welcoming events are an amazing opportunity to show Christ’s love and to share the Gospel in an accessible way with as many students as possible. We usually have a mix of students coming along, from those who already know the Lord, those who are seeking to understand what the Bible says, to students who have never heard of Jesus before.

We plan to host around fifteen events, including lunch bars, international talks, evening events and more! Our theme for the week is yet to be announced, but our aim is to present the Gospel clearly and faithfully, in love. We hope that through our actions and words, we will demonstrate the transforming power of a renewed spirit that can only be found through Jesus Christ.
