The Construction Management Competition gives the nation’s top construction management students a glimpse into the real world of construction, as well as an opportunity to showcase their talents. In addition to providing a significant learning opportunity, the competition fosters an environment that will bring out the best in each team, encourages dialogue among the students and builds team spirit as students rise to meet this challenge.
Needs: The UW-Platteville ABC CMC team will be traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Construction Management competition during the 2025 National ABC Convention on February 26 – 28th. The team needs your sponsorship to assist with travel costs and logging.
2025 ABC CMC Team Members: Logan Niesen, Doug Karker, Abigail Spilde, Shelby Kraus, Nathan Schley, Mitchell Gudenkauf, and Isaac Dommer.
Competition Details: The Competition will focus on the selection of a general contractor for the construction of a real project. The University of Wisconsin-Platteville ABC Construction Management Competition Team will need to submit a proposal per the RFI that will be sent at the end of January and the team will have till the competition time to put the proposal together. The proposal may include a project management plan, project schedule, site utilization plan, quality control plan, site-specific safety plan, and activity hazard analysis.

2021 ABC CMC Results-Competed against 33 colleges/universities/schools: 3rd Place Overall, 2nd Place in Safety, and 3rd Place in Estimating. Team Members: David Regan, Bailey McGuire, Joe Crubaugh, Matt Babich, and Jacob Pakos
2022 ABC CMC Results - Competed against 14 colleges/universities/schools: 5th Place Overall, 4th Place in Quality. Team members: Zach Wynstra, Evan Meyers, Colton Ervin, Logan Niesen, Jon Beyer, and Matt Peterson
2023 ABC CMC Results - Competed against 21 colleges/universities/schools: 5th Place overall, 6th in Project Management and 5th in Safety. Team members: Zach Wystra, Even Meyers, Logan Niesen, Jon Beyer, Colton Ervin, and Mike Dzierzynski
2024 ABC CMC Results – Competed against 25 colleges/universities/schools: 6th Place Overall, 4th Place in Safety, 8th Place in Quality Control, and 9th Place in Project Management. Team members: Logan Niesen, Doug Karker, Quentin Bosshard, Mitchell Pecher, Abigail Spilde, and Shelby Kraus.
