Story

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men, with about 25,000 men newly diagnosed each year. Survival rates are high, but this is often at the expense of poorer quality of life and eventually results in the 2nd highest male cancer-related deaths. We have so much more to learn through research to save and improve lives for men with prostate cancer.

Your support will help UQ prostate cancer researchers, led by Dr Matthew Roberts and Dr Kevin Koo accurately identify the most concerning cancers, and reduce the high rates of over-diagnosis and patients undergoing futile and invasive prostate biopsies.

If we can raise $100,000, our prostate cancer researchers will be able to purchase a Digital qPCR system for gene detection, a cutting-edge piece of equipment that that will truly accelerate prostate cancer research.

Please give now and help create a better future for the men you love.

All donations, large or small, make a difference. Thank you.
