Story
Every day, thousands of Ukrainian citizens are risking their lives defending their homeland; unfortunately, many of them are wounded in action and require the best medical care. Any support you can give will make a significant difference as the University of Dundee raises essential funds to assist those in need in Ukraine.
The Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed People provides specialised medical assistance to the disabled and war veterans, and has been doing an exceptional job in caring for these brave individuals. The hard work and resilience of the hospital staff has been instrumental in this healthcare crisis. However, more medical supplies and equipment are essential to help the staff continue to provide high-quality medical care for injured defenders.
The University of Dundees School of Medicine has twinned with the Dnipro State Medical University and we are raising funds to help purchase essential core scientific equipment, such as magnetic stirrers, blood gas analysers, and specialist microscopes to ensure that doctors and other medical professionals can continue essential research and training.
What will your donation provide?
Your contribution, of whatever size, will make a difference. With your help, we will be able to provide medical supplies (including lightweight wheelchairs, medical dressings); warm and waterproof military boots and clothes; and essential medical equipment for teaching and research in Dnipro State Medical University.
Every donation counts and we greatly appreciate your support in helping us achieve our goal.
Thank you!
As part of our ongoing twinning relationship with Dnipro State Medical University in Ukraine, we are working together with the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Great Britain and the Ukrainian Community in Dundee to help support the defenders of Ukraine and provide Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed People with the medical supplies they need and Dnipro State Medical University with essential equipment. Supplies will be delivered by volunteers from Tayside and Strathearn Help for Ukraine.
