Story
As a charity, the university fundraises to give students access to funds that lets them seize opportunities, make the most of their studies, build employability skills and embrace their full university experience.
The Student Potential Fund empowers students to achieve this by providing funding through four key areas: scholarships, wellbeing activities, a student experience fund and entrepreneurship.
Every penny raised for the Student Potential Fund enables students to ignite ambition and empower experiences none of which would be possible without support from our donors and alumni.
Through this fund, students are are able to seize opportunities that help grow their knowledge, skills, ambitions and self-confidence to choose their future. Whatever journey students are on, the University of Brightons community encourages them to stay curious and put what they learn into practice.
All of the help we receive from our community of alumni, donors and volunteers has a significant impact on current and future students by supporting projects that inspire people and change lives.
£300 gives a student the funding they need for an overnight field trip in the UK.
£100 can support a two-hour session for student entrepreneurs to learn directly from an experienced entrepreneur.
£60 pays for practical shoes for a nursing or midwifery student.
£36 can fund training for one student Wellbeing Champion.
Whatever your passion, there is something at the university to engage and inspire you. By supporting the university, you can help to shape and inspire future generations of alumni to achieve their full potential.
Your support makes a genuine difference and every gift you make, regardless of the size, will have a positive impact on students.
