Story
In response to Ukraines emergency situation and to be prepared for a variety of potential needs, MAD-Aid is mobilising broad emergency preparation response action plans:
MAD-Aid is aiming to raise as much as it can, to provide humanitarian aid to those who are coming from Ukraine into Moldova as refugee
The Organisation is also raising funds for the evacuation of children, scholars, and veteran families in Ukraine, as well as humanitarian and medical aid
Donations will support both immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian actions as needed, both in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries, especially for displaced people
MAD-Aid would provide communities with safe water, urgent medical aid & health-care services, child protection and education
The organization will provide housing for vulnerable children and families and provide health, psychosocial and food assistance
Internally displaced children and families will be helped to recover from their psychological trauma through psychological integration, art therapy, and continual communication by MAD-Aid volunteers
MAD-Aid would provide Ukrainian refugees with all practical and psychological help to settle their lives in a new place, recover emotionally and adapt to new surroundings.
MAD-Aids long-term plan for the Ukrainian refugees:
To establish a distribution centre at their Phoenix Complex (www.phoenixmd.org) for all refugees arriving in Moldova.
To assist in the education of their children, as well as to provide counselling and psychiatric care for their trauma and fear
To identify additional housing and create living conditions for them
To establish a volunteer programme as refugees can assist others.
