Story

To celebrate 80 years of DMWS Supporting the Frontline DMWS colleagues are taking part in several 80 themed challenge events. Three ladies will be completing an 80km Run Challenge and several colleagues are taking on the 80,000 Step Challenge. It would be fantastic if you could sponsor us or take on your own 80s challenge and fundraise for DMWS.

Any donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated!

All funds raised will be used to support our free service enabling us to provide welfare support to to those who have committed their lives to serve their community and country, including Armed Forces personnel, reservists, veterans and their families, police officers, and NHS.

DMWS provide welfare support to the Armed Forces Community (serving, reservists and veterans), NHS and Police when they are facing their own critical time of need. This compassionate, professional service is free and tackles issues such as social isolation, substance abuse, stress and anxiety, ptsd, thoughts of taking ones own life, issues with housing, finance and employment. Help us to be there for those who have dedicated their lives to protecting and helping all of us.

Email info@dmws.org.uk if you have any questions. Thank you!

About the charity

Defence Medical Welfare Service is an independent charity providing medical welfare to those who have, and continue to, operate on the frontline. We provide much-needed additional support for anyone undergoing treatment for a health-related issue. Our goal is to remove the environmental, economic, and social obstacles that stand in the way of recovery. This can speed up discharge from hospital, help patients recover more quickly, and reduce the likelihood of readmission or the need for onward referral. Our free service is for anyone who has committed their lives to serve their community and country, including Armed Forces personnel, reservists, veterans and their families, police officers, and other frontline services.
