The organisation has been shocked and saddened by recent events in Ukraine and the ongoing suffering of innocent people there.

Working with one of our foundation doctors Vladyslav Vovk, who was born in Ukraine and spent his early childhood there, we want to play our part to raise funds and deliver aid to those who so desperately need it.

As part of a local group of NHS staff - Medical Aid Ukraine North East - we are raising funds to go towards the purchase of supplies and equipment to help with medical care in Ukraine as well as relief efforts there.

Vladyslav said: "Thank you so much to everyone who has offered their support and who have donated so far. I am shocked and horrified at the events taking place in my country."
